Log 2

At the beginning, the words that made me feel like I was in a classical, picturesque town, alongside some small shops. Everything was so peaceful until the main character, Louisa, lost her job. Her situation reminds me of the current problem in Taiwan. Most of the fresh graduates only can earn about thirty thousand per month. With the inflation, they can make ends meet but can not give money to their parents. Louisa's family relies on her salary and her boss didn't tell  her that the coffee shop would close until the day before it shut down. Louisa can't find another job so easily because she doesn't have a obvious special skill. This is also why many high school teachers always tell us if we have the ability, please learn or study more than one skill as possible. The society nowadays changes too fast, if we can't follow up the transformation, we will be knocked out automatically.

  1. I liked your log and it could be related to us so much. We would enter the workplace so soon when we graduated from university. This book was a reminder or warn for us to think about ourselves again.

  2. I think how you relate the story with the current situation in Taiwan is very effective! I can understand the plot and also your interpretation of the story of the book. Moreover, the status quo in both novel world and real world can be reflected on each other, it's just the reason why some novels can be so fascinating! It's good for you to do the connection from your perspective of the book. However, there are still some plots of the story weren't mentioned. I hope you can bring up more evidence and content to fill up our imagination!

  3. It’s so sad to know that how louisa had been treated, and you’re right we should learn more than one skills if we have a chance. It’s also remind me that my mother said: You get one more skill, you get one less plea.
